MCB conection full guide information
### Tools Needed:
- Screwdriver
- Wire stripper
- Appropriate wire (as per load and MCB rating)
- Insulated gloves (optional but recommended)
### Steps:
1. **Turn Off Main Power:**
Always switch off the main breaker before working with any electrical connections.
2. **Strip the Wire:**
Strip about 10–12 mm (½ inch) of insulation from the end of the wire using a wire stripper.
3. **Identify the Terminals:**
- **Line/Incoming Terminal:** Usually at the top of the MCB.
- **Load/Outgoing Terminal:** Usually at the bottom of the MCB.
4. **Insert the Wire:**
- Insert the stripped end of the wire into the correct terminal.
- **Incoming power wire** goes to the top terminal (line side).
- **Outgoing wire to load (light, socket, etc.)** goes to the bottom terminal.
5. **Tighten the Terminal Screws:**
- Use a screwdriver to securely tighten the terminal screws. Ensure the wire is tightly gripped and doesn't pull out easily.
6. **Double-check Connections:**
- Make sure there are no loose strands and the insulation isn't caught in the terminal.
7. **Close the Panel & Restore Power:**
After confirming all connections are secure, close the distribution board and restore power.
### Safety Tips:
- Always ensure power is OFF before working.
- Use the right size and type of wire for the load and MCB rating.
- Label wires if you're working in a complex panel.
